The Angkor Complex is vast containing hundreds of temples. It's impossible to see them all in a month…much less in one, two or three days, but it is possible to see a few of the major temples and, with an experienced tour guide, you'll save time, avoid crowds, and get the most out of your visit by gaining a good understanding of the mythology, history and architecture. ITINERARY: Day begins at 8am. BANTEAY CHHMAR
Banteay Chhmar temple is situated in Banteay Meanchey Province (170 km from Siemreap city) This temple was built by King Jayavaraman VII in the Bayon style. The carving along the Bas- Relief is striking. On the way there or back you can also visit another remote temple called Banteay Teap temple, off from the main road about 7km. Because of the distance of the temple from the main complex, you will enjoy this temple in peaceful serenity.

KOH KER
The Koh Ker Temple Complex is situated in Koh Ker village in Preah Vihear Province. It was an old Capital city in 10th century. There are many minor temples, but our focus will be on Prasat Thom (The only Angkorean pyramid style temple) , Prasat Pram (towers surrounded by trees), Prasat Damrei (with beautiful elephant statues), and nearby there is Boeung Khna where there are unexcavated carvings on the stones on the ground. On the way to Koh Ker or back we can visit Beng Mealea, a beautiful temple in the Angkor Wat style but it still has many trees growing in. (We can start from Siem Reap at 7.30am - 8am)

KOH KER WITH THE PONHEARY LY FOUNDATION
Travel with the PLF team to Koh Ker, 2 hours north of Siem Reap to a remote primary school supported by the Ponheary Ly Foundation. You will work alongside students to prepare the whole school’s lunch, join them for outdoor games or a library activity, and serve heaps of fried noodles for an all-you-can-eat lunch. After your visit, you can visit the major temples at the Koh Ker Temple Complex. More information can be found on the PLF website.

Preah Vihear temple Situated on Dangrek Mountain chain near the Thai border, in Preah Vihear Province. The trip passes by Anlong Veng district where you can visit a Former Khmer Rouge camp called Tamok's house. (Start of the day is an early 7am)

Sambo Prey Kuk temple is situated in Kampong Thom Province (160 km from Siemreap city, 20 km from Kampong Thom town.) This area was the Capital city, pre-Angkorian, in 7th and 8th century. There are many groups of temples in the area such as: Prasat Yaytep group, Prasat Toa group and Prasat Sambo group. This area has just been registered as a World Heritage Site in 2017.

Kampong Khleang
Authentic floating village. The largest floating village in Cambodia with 30,000 residents. The village is dissimilar to the tourist trap floating villages around town. Especially compelling during green season.
Kbal Spean
Hike up to the river where you can see two waterfalls and several carvings in the river stone. The Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity is also at Kbal Spean.
Phnom Kulen
Spend the day at this sacred site high above the plains. Waterfalls, pagodas, open air salas where you can relax with a nice lunch, hike, swim and enjoy nature.
